We are looking for a Trainer to support the delivery of our leadership and people management training across the Trust and in collaboration with Cambridgeshire and Peterborough system partners.

This role is ideal for either a dynamic senior training professional with a background in providing leadership and management training interventions who will be able to undertake the full duties of the role on appointment OR a trainer or educationalist who has a track record of success and whilst not yet an expert in leadership and management can demonstrate a genuine interest in developing future managers and leaders in healthcare and the potential to develop the required competencies within a maximum of 12 months from appointment. If this role is offered as a development opportunity this will be made at Band 6 until the required competencies of the full band 7 role are achieved.

Main duties of the job

What you will do:

*Deliver engaging management and leadership training through face-to-face sessions, webinars, and online learning.

*Collaborate with experts to design innovative training programmes.

*Provide coaching support to staff and develop team training interventions.

*Lead the OD Training Administration Team, ensuring effective leadership and development.

*Support the rollout of workforce development initiatives.

*Research and integrate new leadership models into training programmes.

  • Educated to post graduate level in a relevant specialist field.
  • Professional teaching, training and/or facilitation qualification
  • Coaching qualification

Experience

  • A sound practical knowledge and experience of designing specialist training interventions for a complex multi-disciplinary workforce operating at varying levels of seniority.
  • Significant experience of developing management and leadership learning content and delivering management and leadership training.
  • Cultural competence and the ability to apply this to their own work and the work of the team ensuring that equality, diversity and inclusion sits at the core of everyday practice.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence at all levels both within the Trust and across partners with the ICS.
  • Highly skilled and confident communicator, able to write and present high quality reports, facilitate learning sessions and speak to large multidisciplinary groups of staff at events as required.
  • Experience of people management both to be able to proficiently train others and also to manage their own team.
  • It is not a requirement of this role for applicants to have experience of working within the NHS but they must demonstrate a general understanding of the NHS workforce strategies and in particular should be able to demonstrate clearly how their skills are transferable into a Healthcare setting.
  • The post holder will have the breadth and depth of skill and knowledge to enable them to work confidently and independently within both their own specialism and more broadly as part of the senior management team.
