Job summary
As a Senior Commercial and Business Manager, you will work with the CIO, Deputy CIO and Director of Estates and a dynamic team, being involved in delivering successful operational and financial outcomes at Royal Papworth Hospital, rated outstanding by the CQC and a specialist hospital across the globe
As the commercial and business lead for Digital and Estates teams, you will manage our contract and supply to deliver effective and efficient service
The successful applicant will have excellent communication, analytical skills, financial and negotiation experience along with a commitment to improving quality and patient outcome.
The principal responsibilities will be:
*Play a leading role in managing and in delivering successful commercial outcomes.
*Ensure effective planning, development and equitable delivery of health care by leading and managing the commissioning of service provision and the effective delivery of long-term operational plans.
*Identify business development opportunities, manage third party goods and services, ensuring best value for money.
*Contribute to clinical and digital commercial options review and business cases as required.
*Manage and review existing contracts, against the cost improvement programme.
The post holder will liaise with stakeholders across the hospital to identify, lead and co-ordinate tasks involved in the planning and procuring and managing contracts of clinical and digital systems
Main duties of the job
Planning and Organisation
*Contribute to strategic planning and participate in the development and implementation of the division's annual business plans which supports overall Trust strategy
*Develop business cases to support service expansion or redesign.
*Nurture key relationships and maintain networks internally and externally, including national networks.
*Focus on the delivery of streamlined, efficient goods and services delivery.
*Monitor and evaluate risks and issues using a tracking mechanism to enable a proactive resolution and escalation processes.
Financial Management
*Responsible for making recommendations, providing advice and able to prepare strategic reports as required.
*Support delivery of the cost reduction programmes and organisational
Information Management
*Manage highly complex, sensitive and contentious information, presenting information, to a wide range of stakeholders.
*Develop reports summarising status on issues, appraising outcomes and providing progress reports.
Policy and Service Development
*Find innovative ways of exploring and managing partnerships to help manage existing and nurturing value where long-term relationships.
*Responsible for interpretation and implementation of policies, guidelines and review and monitor service level agreements (SLA's) which may impact service.
Research and Development
*Co-ordinate Research & Development initiatives, delegating as appropriate.
