Job summary

Our combined Outpatient Department is based at Royal Papworth Hospital in Cambridge. We have a 30 room Outpatient Department and facilitate the ongoing care and management of patients with chronic diseases including Cystic Fibrosis, Pulmonary Hypertension, thoracic oncology, pre and post cardiac and lung transplantation and cardiac failure patients.

Our nursing team is small, skilled and friendly working within a busy specialist ambulatory care outpatient setting. We work as part of a number of multidisciplinary teams in a constantly evolving and innovative ambulatory care setting. We currently work on a Monday to Friday between 7.30 and 18.30.

This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work alongside the outpatient nursing team to ensure the clinical environment is clean and safe for our patients. You will responsible for cleaning equipment used in the outpatient area and assisting the nursing team in the preparation of the clinic areas.

Main duties of the job

If you are a well organised, team player and able to deal with ever changing priorities then we would love to hear from you. As part of our team, we would expect you to be able to effectively multitask and ensure all infection control risks were managed effectively. We pride ourselves on delivering high quality patient care which is enhanced through good and clear communication and team working.

The successful applicant will be kind and compassionate, have excellent communication skills and work well within a team. Ideally we would like individuals who are flexible about how they work and are willing to learn about infection control, its importance and how it relates to the role.
