Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Nurse Specialist To join our Pulmonary Endarterectomy (PEA) Team at Royal Papworth Hospital. The team are looking to appoint an experienced nurse to join the PEA specialist nurses to support and deliver care to patients requiring pulmonary endarterectomy surgery. The successful candidate will be able to work autonomously to support this patient group and the MDT.
This is a great opportunity for someone who has Clinical Specialist Nurse experience, experience leading a team, and can demonstrate in-depth knowledge of CTEPH and PEA .
The successful candidate will have the skills to lead and manage a team of nurses; to inspire them through role modelling clinical and professional excellence and supporting them in delivering an excellent patient experience. There are many opportunities for further personal and professional development for the post holder.

Main duties of the job
As part of the Pulmonary Hypertension (PH) multi-disciplinary team the post holder will:
*Provide professional and operational leadership to the Pulmonary Endarterectomy Specialist Nursing Team.
*Be responsible for high quality care and the efficient, safe, and effective performance of the team including the management of staff.
*The post holder will be a skilled and competent nurse with experience in caring for patients undergoing PEA surgery They should be able to use their clinical expertise, leadership skills, education, and management to ensure a seamless service for patients, carers and staff.
*Providing a high standard of specialist nursing care implementing and monitoring quality assurance initiatives including development of action plans and measuring outcomes.
*The post holder will work collaboratively with the Lead Nurse Pulmonary Hypertension and the Band 7 PH Clinical Nurse Specialist to ensure that all service needs are met.
