Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen on our Respiratory Support and Sleep Centre (RSSC) for a Band 7 Sister/Charge Nurse. We are one of the largest units in the UK providing non-invasive ventilation for patients with lung disease and neuromuscular disorders. We support over 1500 patients on long term home ventilation.
The RSSC consists of a 15 bedded ward and an 8 bedded day case area specialising in the care and management of patient's respiratory disorders including those with neuromuscular conditions such as MND. It also incorporates 5 high dependency beds for patients requiring weaning from invasive ventilation.
Main duties of the job
Our focus is our patients, their comfort and care. This is at the forefront of our thinking, and we are constantly working to develop the service we offer to the people we treat. We are looking for a highly motivated and forward-thinking Sister/Charge Nurse who can provide clinical leadership and ensure the provision of high-quality nursing care, to act as a role model and expert clinical practitioner.
You will be expected to work alongside the current Ward Sister and have responsibility for the unit.
