Job summary

To provide comprehensive telephonist services and to ensure the smooth operation of all communications and alarm systems

Main duties of the job

The switchboard is a 24-hour service to the hospital. Responding to enquiries and providing advice/assistants to callers. You would also be responsible for activating emergency calls either by pager or telephone.

Administration duties include maintaining oncall details, issuing and unblocking access cards, and recording incidents.

Full training will be provided relating to the operation of the switchboard, and the related switchboard IT systems. This includes emergency responses within the department.
