About the RoleWe are seeking Dispatchers to join our Emergency Operations Centre team, based in either Wakefield or York. As a Dispatcher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care across Yorkshire and Humberside, using problem solving and quick-thinking skills to coordinate and deploy ambulance resources to ensure patients receive timely assistance.

Dispatchers are responsible for the co-ordination and deployment of all Accident and Emergency ambulance resources to meet the demands of the service and to ensure we get help to patients as soon as possible.
Using the Computer Aided Dispatch System, you will constantly monitor the service response times to patients.
You will liaise directly with ambulance staff on the road to ensure patients receive the best response to their needs.
Please note that this role is 24/7,365 days a year (including bank holidays, weekends, days and nights), and we work shifts to achieve this. You would therefore need to be able to make your way to and from work at various times of the day and night.
