Contract hours: 30 - 37.5 hours per week - section 2

No current FWP's will carry over into this role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a Senior Health Advisor in the Integrated Urgent Care (IUC) 111 Training department. This role is predominantly training and supporting our new trainees in their first 10 weeks with us as they train to become Health Advisors. Although as an SHA you will have a base, the role requires that you train at both our Wakefield Springhill 1 site and Callflex site.

We currently have an increased requirement for more of the training to be delivered at Wakefield as this is where the demand is so you may be required to travel in order to support this demand. However, this may change in the future.

The role also requires flexibility in terms of when you train. We run AM and PM training and you will need to be able train on both courses.

Main duties of the job

A great deal of flexibility will be required as you will be expected to train within the core training hours:

Monday-Friday or Tuesday to Saturday

08:00-16:00 or 16:00-00:00 (there may be other times we will require training support)

Unsocial will be paid for any out of hours Training you deliver but this cannot be guaranteed

You will be trained to become a NHS Pathways Trainer to deliver high quality NHS Pathways training.

This will include Core Module 1, Core Module 2. You will also be trained to deliver all other internal training the team delivers.

You will need to use coaching skills, for sign off and to support trainees when they have reached the required level of competency as per the NHS Pathways training and assessment guidelines, as well as acting as a mentor to support new members of staff.

You will be providing leadership to the trainees during their first weeks with us and will be setting the standard for our trainees in terms of standards and behaviour expected from our staff . Training will be made available to so you have the skills to enable you to be confident in providing that leadership.
