Are you a dynamic individual who is looking for a new challenge?

We are looking for an experienced capacity planning analyst who has a proven track record of providing high quality analysis and using it to drive change within a workforce planning setting, working closely with internal colleagues, external providers and system partners. This role will operate according to our hybrid working model either from home or from our Head Office in Wakefield.

The Capacity Planning Analyst will provide an analysis of incident and call volume history by tracking and trending incident and call demand, to ensure proper planning, accurate requirements and workload identification. The post holder will develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts and capacity plans that provide management with the understanding needed to make operational decisions in order to provide high levels of service delivery.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for producing forecast variance analysis reports and provide recommendations to support the operational teams in making optimum use of available resource in order to achieve performance standards and Ambulance Quality Indicators (AQI) requirements. The post holder will focus primarily on developing long and medium term forecasting and capacity plans, with a requirement for short term forecasting and production of reports and recommendations as required.

  • Can demonstrate advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strategic business planning experience e.g. Erlang C planning models, shrinkage management

  • Degree in relevant discipline e.g. IT, Organisational Management or 2 years' experience in a planning analyst role in a comparable industry
