Advanced Driving Instructor

Job summary

An exciting opportunity is available at the Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust for the post of Advanced Driving Instructor (Band 6) in the YAS Academy.

One way we are transforming driving standards is by the introduction of additional instructor posts across the Region to enable the Trust to provide expert driver education and advice. We are now in a position to offer these additional full-time posts to instructors who hold or are currently working towards the Level 4 Diploma in Emergency Response Ambulance Driving Instruction qualification.

We are looking for outstanding individuals with passion, energy and up to date knowledge of the Goals for Driver Education and the ability to effectively communicate and support colleagues at the point of delivery.

Main duties of the job

The role Advanced Driving Instructor will be to support the Driver Education Manager and the Driver Education Internal Quality Assurer by providing driver education expertise and support to all operational staff and managers, whilst providing high quality instruction and evidence-based education, especially to those who are undertaking reassessment or are new to the organisation.
