Job summary
The complex psychosis pathway provides a whole system approach to Mental Health Rehabilitation and Assertive Community treatment in Leeds which includes the Voluntary Services Department.
You will work as a team to provide a comprehensive efficient and effective support service to compliment the volunteering within Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, understanding the values of volunteering, underpinning the strategy supporting the care that is delivered..
You will coordinate and maintain the flow of volunteers taking a lead coordinating the various volunteer roles throughout the different sites in Leeds and York.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide support and assistance to the Voluntary Services Manager and Operational leads and will have particular responsibility for providing a focus for the advancement of opportunities to develop Volunteering Opportunities
- To provide a focus and advise the Voluntary Services Manager on the appropriate training and development opportunities for new and existing volunteers.
- To recruit, interview, and select and deploy suitable volunteers.
- Liase with clinicians,teams and departments within the LYPFT in relation to opportunities to expand and develop volunteers and voluntary activities across the trust
- Liase with people with lived experience to understand their individual needs in relation to volunteer placements

- The post holder will require persuasive and motivational skills to encourage and support participation in volunteering; they will receive complex and sensitive information with varying degree of complexity that maybe confidential and require a high level of tact and discretion.
- Provide regular reports on activity and progress to the Voluntary Services Manager.
- Place volunteers into new and established Trust wide projects balancing the skills motivation and availability of the volunteer with the needs of the service.
