Job summary

Skylark Ward at Red Kite View is excited to be recruiting a Clinical Team Manager to join our dedicated team within the Children and Young People's Inpatient Service.

As Ward Manager, you will lead the day to day running of the Skylark General Adolescent Unit, ensuring that the care we provide is safe, effective, and consistently of the highest quality. We are looking for someone with the passion, commitment, and drive to make a genuine difference to the lives of young people in an inpatient setting.

Main Duties include:

  • Work with the established leadership team in the service to organise, integrate, and lead a multi-professional team in providing high quality inpatient care as part of the wider Children and Young People service of Leeds and York Partnerships Foundation Trust
  • Work in partnership with Leadership Team and Matron in the continuing development of accessible, responsive and locally based Childre and Young People Services.
  • Ensure the delivery of a comprehensive targeted and user focused service through effective leadership, prioritisation and liaison with key stakeholders of the service.
  • Lead on the investigation of Clinical incidents in accordance with Trust Policy, complaints and service reviews and inspections.
  • Ensure all staff, project and budget management responsibilities are undertaken within Trust guidelines.
  • Act as a champion for the service, demonstrating a participative and supportive leadership style with a commitment to team working.
  • Manage and lead the operational functioning of the team, participating in an on-call system if required.

We also provide specialist inpatient services in York and some highly specialised services across the country.
