Main duties of the job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Student Nursing Associate Apprenticeship within mental health and learning disability services at Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. Services include Acutes, Children and Young People, Learning Disabilities and Forensics.

This Level 5 Nursing Associate apprenticeship scheme is run in partnership with a leading provider, Leeds Trinity University, to ensure you are fully supported through a high-quality training programme. The apprenticeship will provide you with valuable experience and offer a strong foundation for future careers.

Whilst completing your apprenticeship programme you will be a Band 3 Student Nursing Associate. You will be expected to fulfil the full role and responsibilities by the end of the training period, and a development plan will be put in place by your line manager confirming the competencies they expect you to develop during that time.

On successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will progress to band 4 as a Nursing Associate.

You will be supported with your learning and the skills needed to undertake the role. This support will be provided by your manager, mentor, learning provider, and other professional colleagues.

The course requires that you must have evidence ofMaths and English at Level 2 (GCSE Grades 4-9 or Grades A-C or equivalent).

Interviews are expected to be on the 23rd and 24th February.

Develop by the end of the Nursing Associate Training Programme the ability to work without direct supervision, at times delivering care independently in line with the individuals defined plan of care, within the parameters of the role
