Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Psychologist to join our Mill Lodge Child and Adolescent Inpatient Service and Willow View Intensive Day Service in York. Willow View is our Intensive Day Service for children and young people presenting with complexity and for whom we are avoiding an admission. We are a new, developing and dynamic psychology and psychological therapies team that are passionate about inclusion, social inequality, justice, co-production and innovation. The service takes a trauma-informed, attachment and systemic approach to understanding the presentations and needs of young people and their families. Our work is underpinned and informed by a range of evidence based psychological models, including Adaptive Mentalisation Based Integrative Treatment (AMBIT), systemic/family therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). A key part of the provision is co-producing psychological formulations which inform a holistic and multidisciplinary approach to treatment.
