Do you have great organisational and people skills? We're looking for a good team player with a positive, proactive and flexible approach to coordinate the dispensary work and team on a day-to-day basis to ensure the dispensary runs safely, efficiently, ensuring work is prioritised accordingly. Ensure good stock control and housekeeping duties are performed. The postholder will line manage a team of Pharmacy Support Workers and support dispensary training for all staff.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will have good interpersonal, leadership and communication skills and be able to support, develop, direct and motivate the dispensary team.
This role would suit an experienced pharmacy dispensary assistant or a registered pharmacy technician.
The post will involve supervising, supporting and developing dispensary staff, allocating tasks, providing clear direction and feedback to the team, and responding to changing demands/ priorities to ensure medicines are supplied in a timely manner.
The postholder will perform a range of organisational, logistical and supervisory roles such as managing the dispensary rotas, convening team meetings, overseeing dispensary activities and coordinating medication deliveries.
Duties will also include the ordering, receipt and distribution of medicines, dispensing medicines, and dealing with any queries.
The post holder will be responsible for the line management of a team of Pharmacy Support Workers and will induct, supervise, train and develop other staff within the team. They will be required to lead by example and work accurately under pressure. The post holder will also be required to participate in the weekend and Bank Holiday working on a rotational basis.
