Job summary

An exciting addition to the Dietetic rotation within Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust to work in a new and emerging Adult Eating Disorders Service across West Yorkshire as a qualified dietitian.

This is a permanent full-time dietetic post starting your rotation working within the Link-ED Adult Eating Disorder Service, across West Yorkshire. We have recently been given the opportunity to grow our MDT which has enabled this opportunity to support a band 5 dietitian within the team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Lead Dietitian (Band 7) within the service. The role will include the following:o Delivery of dietetic groups to service userso Training and developing CMHT teams around West Yorkshire about nutrition and eating disorderso 1:1 support with service users around their eating difficultieso Developing practical support groups for service userso Involvement with the Open Access Pathway- developing content for the service Instagram page and facilitating The HUB peer support group.

As a service we support service users who have disordered eating secondary to their primary mental health issue, these include Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa and Binge Eating Disorder. We are a small team of Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Dietitians and Peer Support Workers.

Main duties of the job

The Dietetic rotation within Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust includes working across different services, you will have the opportunity to develop your dietetic skills and build experience in different mental health areas. The rotation includes working with the following services:o Healthy living service (2 rotation posts)- Acute mental health for working aged adults and older adultso Learning disabilities (1 rotation post)- community based team for adults with learning difficulties

The trust has an established management and clinical support structure, regular clinical and management supervision, monthly trust wide dietetic meeting and access to peer support and other development opportunities. We work closely with Leeds Beckett University and in partnership with York Teaching Hospital and Leeds Teaching Hospital Trust delivering student placements A, B and C. As an organisation we are keen to support research and development activities.
