Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic practitioner to join our innovative and highly regarded Offender Personality Disorder Service (OPDS). We work in partnership (Probation, NHS, and third sector services) within a large multi-disciplinary team to enhance the criminal justice management of high-risk offenders.
Main duties of the job
This full-time post will be a split across two services:
a) 2.5 days in the Intensive Intervention and Risk Management Service (IIRMs) 'The Discovery Project'
This is a community-based service delivering individually tailored and psychologically informed interventions, with the aim of managing risk of serious harm, reducing reoffending, and developing psychological wellbeing and social engagement. The post will include client facing work, administrative tasks, data collection and multidisciplinary working with Occupational therapists, probation service officers, and housing and resettlement advisors
b) 2.5 days at Holbeck House PIPE (Psychologically Informed Planned Environment) in Leeds.
Holbeck House is an approved premises for high-risk offenders on licence, all staff have training and clinical supervision. A formulation led approach is used to support the residents to develop prosocial relationships, promote, and instil autonomy, engage in reflection about themselves and others and to learn new ways to manage their internal responses to their lived experience in less harmful or violent ways. The post will include facilitating structured and unstructured groups, administrative tasks, data collection, and contributing to the PIPE AP regime.
