Job summary

Are you an internationally qualified Occupational Therapist looking to join the NHS? Will you shortly be commencing the registration process with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC)? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join one of our forward-thinking mental health teams. We are currently recruiting for Occupational Therapists to join our organisation.

For any international Occupational Therapists that arrive in the UK and have yet to have their registration with the HCPC confirmed, you will work in a band 4 AHP Associate capacity untilsuch time as your HCPC registration is confirmed.

Applicants must already be in the process of their HCPC registration and must supply either their AA or HCPC registration number as part of the application.

Main duties of the job

You will be provided with the necessary training and support to achieve the key competencies of the Occupational Therapy role, including:

  • An appropriate period of supernumerary working
  • A comprehensive induction and training package to ensure that you adapt to UK working practices and feel comfortable and confident in your role
  • You will be matched with a professional mentor who will work closely with you to ensure that you are supported to achieve the key competencies required within your role
  • Be part of the Occupational Therapy Networks in the organisation/ region

We are looking for individuals who are;

  • Passionate about occupation and its role in mental health
  • Able and willing to engage in flexible working, including shifts and weekends.
  • Able to work in various team and on different sites across Leeds and York
