Job summary
An exciting 6 month opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, dynamic, enthusiastic, committed, hard-working and flexible practitioner to join our Practice Learning & Development Team as a Clinical Educator.
The post holder will provide knowledge, advice and information relating to practice education and learning throughout the Trust, whilst ensuring quality learning experience is available in practice. The post holder will be able to provide practice assessor support to various and multiple placements to help maintain capacity across the trust. The post holder will support practice assessors/supervisors and education leads across to support education and learning. They will support with education forums, learner forums, PLDT support clinics and virtual placement creation/facilitation.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will have excellent communication skills and be able to build strong working relationships with colleagues across the Trust and at Higher Education Institutes. They will be able to work autonomously, effectively taking responsibility for their own work. Having teaching/coaching and presentation skills would be an asset to the role. The post holder can expect to receive ongoing support from Practice Learning and Development team colleagues whilst in the role and access to regular reflective time and supervision. Flexible working arrangements can be discussed prior to appointment. Whilst the team have a base of St Marys House, the Practice Learning and Development Team work in a hybrid way, with a combination of home working and attending LYPFT trust based sites, placements and Universities when required.
The candidate should have a professional qualification and current NMC registration, a minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience and be a practice assessor who has self-declared on PARE.
