Job summary

We are looking to recruit a Patient and Public Engagement Ambassador (PPEA) to join the children and adolescent mental health research team (COMIC), working within the R&D department of Leeds and York Partnership Foundation Trust.

Main duties of the job

This is an important role which will help us to establish a Young Persons Advisory Network (YPAN). This role will ensure children and young people's (CYP) experience of participating in research is clear and simple, allowing as many service users as possible the opportunity to take part in research and get involved in research promotion within the Trust. The successful candidate will work closely with the R&D team to support research at all stages from study design, funding applications to recruitment of CYP, carers and staff and making results widely known.

Communicating with CYP, carers and schools. Coordinating engagement activities - newsletters, website content. Promoting COMIC and service user involvement in research. Evaluate success of YPAG by requesting feedback from attendees. Organise and run engagement events. Promote research projects.
