Job summary
An exciting opportunity to join Leeds and York NHS Foundation Trust's EPRR team. This is a new role recognising the increased requirements for NHS resilience. The successful candidate will deputise for the Resilience Lead and Corporate Business Manager and will lead on sections of the annual EPRR plan.
Main duties of the job
The role of EPRR manager covers work on business continuity plan development, assessment and testing as well as supporting the Resilience Lead and Corporate Business Manager in other EPRR plan development. The post holder will be required to train staff in aspects of EPRR, business continuity and associated subjects supported by the Trust's EPRR officer.
The EPRR manager will be expected to work on their own portfolio of work completing work done by others in the team. The EPRR manager will deputise for the Resilience Lead and Corporate Business Manager both at Trust meetings and at ICB level and wider area meetings.

The post holder will be required to develop, maintain, and manage effective relationships with a range of stakeholders internally and externally. They will always work within the Trust behavior framework and make decisions and act in line with Trust values. They will communicate and interact widely within the Trust with managers and staff in all services. They will also be required to communicate with external partners and commissioners regarding EPRR matters and in any emergency.
Additionally, the post holder will develop business continuity processes working with service managers and Implement agreed EPRR policies and plans across the organisation. The postholder will be expected to analyze complex situations involving adverse risk and produce recommendations based on managing and mitigating these risks. Given the nature of the role the post holder will also be expected to provide advice and courses of action while in incident situations.
The role also involves maintaining relationships and working as part of a larger team at the Trust around aspects of EPRR and Business Continuity:
- Acting as a point of contact and a subject matter expert on EPRR within the Group.
- Developing and maintaining strong and productive working relationships with multi agency partners and EPRR leads across the system.
- Participating in health economy EPRR forums as agreed with the Resilience Lead
Disseminating information relating to EPRR, including national guidance, and sharing of lessons learnt from internal/external incidents.
