Job summary

Are you ready to take on the exciting challenge to provide images and easy read resources to support a reduction of health inequalities for people with a learning disability?

Could you be a part of a team who work strategically across the city to create and implement graphics and resources to support other health professionals within the Learning Disability, primary care network and the wider health and social care services and organisations in Leeds and further afield?

Main duties of the job

We require a dynamic, skilled Accessible Information and design worker to join the team to continue making resources to support people with a learning disability. You will be a professional who will have the drive and presence to implement the Accessible Information Standard within our "Get Checked Out Leeds" and "Easy on the i" website. The ideal candidate will be able to continue to build the resource library for "Easy on the i". This would include working with our current resource library of images to continue to increase the free resource.

You will report directly to the Band 7 nurse within the team. You will have the confidence, initiative and ability to work alone or as part of the team, or with service users who will support the co-production of images and documents. You will be based at St Mary's hospital in Leeds.

Using your skills and expertise, you will help the Trust tell its stories through creative and visual means in a way that is accessible for our diverse communities. Where appropriate you will also commission and liaise with external suppliers in the production of design, print, videography, and photography projects.
