Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an assistant psychologist to work with the Deputy Director for the Psychological Professions in LYPFT, a mental health Trust in Leeds. The Deputy Director is also Chair of the North East & Yorkshire Psychological Professions Network, so the successful candidate will support workstreams in both areas where ultimately the focus is on workforce development, training and leadership, with the aim of ensuring that all health and care is informed and transformed by embedding psychological knowledge and practice.

Main duties of the job

The successful post holder will need experience of working as an assistant, please do not apply without this, and will be supporting the implementation of the Psychological Professions Strategy in LYPFT, and activity of the North East and Yorkshire PPN. The work will involve working alongside a range of staff and other stakeholders, preparing reports and bulletins, audit and evaluation. You will need to be confident in your communications skills,

working with other people and remote working as required. The previous two post holders have made successful applications to clinical training and this role has emphasis on developing leadership skills.
