Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for individuals to join our friendly and professional team within the Operating Theatre Department as a Theatre Support Worker. We cover several different specialities including General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Gynae and Obstetrics, ENT, maxillofacial, Breast, Urology and Ophthalmic.

You will have or be willing to work towards completion of the Care Certificate & also must complete, within an 18-month period, a Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care. This training if required will enable you to assist with the preparation and cleanliness of the theatre environment for both surgery and anaesthetics, providing care to the patients throughout their journey in the operating theatre and enable you to support staff at all levels.

The post you are applying for comes under The Protection of Children's Act 1999, and The Care Standards Act 2000. In accordance with this legislation, successful candidates will be subject to a check by the Disclosure and Barring Service to ascertain their suitability to work with children and/or vulnerable adults.
