Physiotherapy Support Worker

The closing date is 14 December 2025

Job summary

We're looking for an exceptional individual who is interested in the care and rehabilitation of patients within the musculoskeletal (MSK), orthopaedic and pelvic health physiotherapy teams.

We're a successful Trust with a strong commitment to delivering the highest standards of clinical quality, patient care and staff experience. The key to our success is simple: our people. Their experience, knowledge, passion and ideas are our greatest resource.

Your job, alongside your team colleagues, will be to deliver an excellent MSK outpatient and pelvic health and orthopaedic inpatient physiotherapy service. You will be working with our current team to ensure our patients receive timely and expert assessment and rehabilitation. With your energy and commitment to our public service, you'll be able to make a huge difference.

We are looking for a dedicated individual, with care and / or rehabilitation experience. You must be enthusiastic about developing your skills to deliver excellent care to our patients.

Main duties of the job

As a physiotherapy support worker, you will assist the physiotherapy team to deliver care for outpatients following musculoskeletal injuries and orthopaedic surgery. You will provide walking aids and motivation to actively participate in rehabilitation and recovery, during group exercise and hydrotherapy sessions. There is also the opportunity to work alongside our pelvic health team, to deliver excellent post-natal care and our inpatient orthopaedic team, working with our patients immediately following orthopaedic surgery.

An important aspect of this role is your contribution to achieving high levels of infection, prevention and control management, through shared house-keeping duties and stock ordering and management.

Alongside other team members, you'll embody our proud to CARE values to contribute to a truly inclusive workplace. We're not shy about celebrating our people at the Trust and taking them with us on our collaborative, system working journey, with our partners across the local area.

Here's a message from Sharon Wood, one of our Professional & Service Development Leads in physiotherapy: "If you have experience of working in a caring role, a passion for rehabilitation, and believe your motivation can help us work with our system partners to deliver the excellent physiotherapy service our patients deserve, come and join us! I'd love to welcome you into our team".
