Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Patient Services Department which is within the facilities division.

The Patient Catering Department provides a catering service to patients on wards, making a difference to patients stay with a smile, a nutritional meal and a lovely hot drink. The patient catering department provides catering services for Chesterfield Royal Hospital and Derbyshire Healthcare, Derwent unit. The job role may be required to provide services at either of these venues, although they are both located at the same site.

11:00 hrs to 18:30hrs working 7 days over a 14 day period (24.5 hours per week)

The rota will be based on a 24.5 hour a week contract working on a 4-week rota basis which will include some weekends and bank holidays or working Monday to Friday which will include bank holidays.

Main duties of the job

To provide a customer focused service.

Cleaning of crockery, pots and pans. using a dishwashing machine and manually washing.

Preparation of hot and cold food items, and other meals or functions.

To adhere to safe working practices in all aspects of hygiene management.

To adhere to safe working practices in all aspects of risk management and security.

Carry out general and specialised cleaning tasks in accordance with standard operating procedures.

To ensure compliance with in COSHH, HACCP and all Trust policies relevant

The loading and unloading of ovens and food trolleys
