Job summary
DSFS Ltd are looking for a Logistics Assistant to join the team to deliver high quality value for money procurement services on behalf of Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and external clients. You will need to demonstrate strong team working skills; have experience of working in a Procurement or Logistics environment and be able to demonstrate excellent customer service and stock management skills.
This post will play a key role in ensuring the procurement of the right goods at the right price delivered to the right place at the right time. This will be achieved by working together with clients and service users to understand their procurement needs, and by working together to standardise and rationalise products and ensure that best value for money products are purchased.

Main duties of the job
- Ensure a courteous and quality service is delivered for all clients
- Work with sensitivity and an understanding of the issues facing front line staff
- Listen to clients and engage in productive discussions about supply options
- Provide specialist day to day logistics knowledge and advice to clients
- Encourage users to utilise the materials management supply route and expand ward / department specific electronic catalogues
- Influence user choice to standardise products and reduce costs
- Promptly and proactively resolve queries and resolve complaints
