We're looking for a Charity Fundraising and Engagement Lead who will work alongside the Communications Team to develop engagement and build relationships with our Trust charity - Chesterfield Royal Hospital Trust Charity.

Your mission: To 'make friends and influence' businesses, community groups, colleagues, and individuals - anyone who will listen (and even those who aren't interested... yet!).

Main duties of the job

Main Duties of the Job:

  • You will have applied knowledge of what fundraising really means and have experience of following/delivering against strategies and plans - not necessarily for the charity sector but ideally with some working experience.
  • You will have a view on how to maximise donations, legacies, and gifts to support the charity in achieving its objectives.
  • Support the development of the fundraising function, working with both volunteers, colleagues, the local community, and partners.
  • Develop relationships with, and secure financial support from, key high-value prospects, including corporate partners.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation including the Charities Act and Data Protection.
  • Together with the small team, manage and support all trust charitable fundraising activities including reporting developments and progress to the Charitable Funds Committee.
  • Help to prepare funding proposals, ideas, and submit relevant documents and materials to potential donors.
  • Lead fundraising campaigns targeted at the public to raise revenue into specific funds as well as general charitable funds.
  • Be an important link between the Trust charity and the local community, inspiring patients, visitors, and the local community to choose the charity as their preferred charity to support.
  • Support the Charitable Funds Committee and Board of Trustees with reports about progress aligned to the strategy and other activities. Produce associated reports to evaluate work and results.
