The DDC member organisations have embarked on a digital excellence journey to implement a nationally leading Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system that will transform the quality of care for their patients and staff by having instantly accessible information using the latest mobile technology, reducing paper usage and utilising clinical decision support tools.

Main duties of the job

Initially based at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust (UHL), flexibility is required across the three main hospital sites (Leicester Royal Infirmary, Leicester General Hospital and Glenfield Hospital).

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Device Integration Specialist to join our growing team. As a key player working with the medical engineering teams across the EMAP organisations, you'll leverage your IT expertise to ensure the successful integration of innovative medical technology.

In this role, you'll be the go-to expert for ensuring seamless connectivity between the various medical devices and hospital IT systems and infrastructure. You'll work closely with both internal and external teams to ensure smooth implementation and ongoing support for this vital patient care technology. The Medical Device Integration specialist will work with other specialists within the teams as well as project technology and clinical teams to build, test and implement all medical devices for various Trust systems including the new Electronic Patient Record solution.
