The DDC member organisations have embarked on a digital excellence journey to implement a nationally leading Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system that will transform the quality of care for their patients and staff by having instantly accessible information using the latest mobile technology, reducing paper usage and utilising clinical decision support tools.

Main duties of the job

Initially based at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust (UHL), flexibility is required across the three main hospital sites (Leicester Royal Infirmary, Leicester General Hospital and Glenfield Hospital).

The Communications and Engagement Manager (Electronic Patient Record) has lead responsibility for Electronic Patient Record (EPR) communications, and will initially be embedded within UHL's communication and engagement department.

The post-holder will develop and implement impactful communications and engagement plans to drive engagement with a variety of audiences including Information Management and Technology (IM&T) colleagues, clinical and non-clinical colleagues across UHL and partner services.

The post-holder will use insight to segment and tailor our approaches, generating compelling and relevant communications campaigns for staff, stakeholders, and the public. Engagement is as important as communications in this role, as we seek to develop a first-of-its-type EPR, built by the NHS, for the NHS. The post-holder will play an exciting role in product development by supporting the design and implementation of effective user-research and engagement plans that reach a diverse audience.
