Job summary
We are looking for a dynamic and innovative Consultant to join our excellent Stroke team at Chesterfield. We are a hands-on, forward thinking multi-disciplinary team and would like someone with excellent mentoring skills and a passion about stroke to work with us to further develop our service.
Based at Chesterfield Royal Hospital you will join the multidisciplinary team in delivering hyper-acute, acute and rehab care to the population of North Derbyshire. In addition to the medical team, the Stroke team is made up of a strong and extensive nursing and therapy workforce including clinical nurse specialists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychology, dietetics and speech and language therapy. There is a supportive working culture and we are committed to the ongoing development of all our staff.
Applicants would be expected to have a broad range of experience including stroke medicine. Applicants must have full GMC registration, MRCP and ability to work at Consultant Level in Stroke Medicine.
If applicants were interested in pursuing a leadership role, then they would be supported in this and 1 PA can be made available for a Clinical Lead or Clinical Director role.
