Job summary
An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified Dental Nurse to join our Friendly and welcoming team in Maxilla Facial Department, Suite 2 at Chesterfield Royal Hospital working 22.5 hours per week.
Main duties of the job
Contributes to the delivery of outstanding patient care by working independently to:
- Receive and prepare patients for their treatment within a range of clinics in Maxillofacial and Orthodontics, assisting the lead nurses in the clinics.

Preparation of Maxillofacial and Orthodontic clinics in relation to equipment, instruments and clinical records.

Prepare surgical kits and assist for Maxillofacial surgical procedures and emergencies.

Deliver individual programmes of care in Orthodontics and Oral Maxillofacial including oral health education

Ensure the smooth and safe transition of patients through the Maxillofacial and Orthodontic department including assisting and chaperoning the medical staff.
- Be responsible for the maintenance of equipment and furnishings in the department, reporting defects to the appropriate authorities
