We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Band 2 HCA to join our friendly, professional team in our Gynaecology Department on the Women's Health Unit.
The Women's Health Unit is very varied and cares for both inpatients and outpatients in a range of circumstances, for example, caring for ladies having gynaecological or breast day case procedures, caring for ladies in early pregnancy who may be experiencing concerns relating to pregnancy and caring for ladies seeking a termination of pregnancy alongside supporting in a variety of specialist clinics such as Colposcopy and Hysteroscopy. The post holder will assist nursing and medical staff with the provision of holistic, high quality, evidence based care to all women attending the Women's Health Unit
Main duties of the job
We are seeking individuals who can demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to be a quick and enthusiastic learner with a personal drive to ensure our commitment in the delivery of a high standard of patient care.

We currently open daily between the hours of 7.00 and 22.00. You will be required to work various shifts to cover this service including some weekends and bank holidays.
Phlebotomy is desirable but not essential as further training will be provided.
Patient facing experience is essential and the ability to work under your own initiative whilst being a good team player, experience of working within an inpatient and outpatient environment would also be an advantage.
Previous gynaecology experience would be desirable but not essential as you will be fully supported with a supernumerary period, development framework with competencies and an identified mentor for your first few weeks with us.
