Main duties of the job
- Administer flu & Covid vaccinations to patients in a healthcare setting.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of vaccinations administered.
- Follow established protocols and guidelines to ensure safe and effective vaccine administration.
- Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to support efficient vaccination campaigns.
- Registered Nurse (RN) qualification.
- Previous experience in vaccine administration, particularly flu vaccinations, is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to provide compassionate care to patients of all ages.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, adapting to different healthcare settings.

Job responsibilities
This role forms an integral part of Autumn vaccination delivery programme within the Derbyshire area. These roles will be supporting the Primary Care Networks who are responsible for delivering the vaccination programme.
The role of vaccinator will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering a safe and effective service for the delivery of the Flu and Covid vaccine(s). The post holder will be responsible for administering the vaccines to patients within a team of staff working in a clinical team as part of the mass vaccination delivery model under the direction and supervision of a registered health care professional.
The post holder will adhere to infection control policies, procedures, and guidelines at all times. This will include training and development related to the control of infection and liaise closely with the Infection Control Team, to minimise the possibility of healthcare associated infection. The post holder must hold a clean driving license is essential as Royal Primary Care is a multi-site organisation.
The role requires the post holder to be registered (and provide evidence of their professional registration) with a professional body, this is to enable them to practice within their profession; they are required at all times to comply with that code of conduct and requirements of that registration.
