We have an opportunity for a full-time temporary Practice Nurse (12 months maternity cover), based in GP Surgery, to join a growing establishment committed to being a flagship organisation and an at scale provider of primary care services in the Midlands.   • 37.5 hours - RPC West - based at Ashgate Practice

We have a team of 171 people dedicated to our patients, working across 3 sectors covering Chesterfield, Clay Cross and Heanor. Our Practice Nurses are essential to ensuring that we always provide an outstanding level of nursing care to our patients.

Main duties of the job

You will work collaboratively as part of our multidisciplinary sector team of clinicians to meet the needs of our patients; delivering the highest standards of patient care. You will undertake a diverse range of nursing assessments and provide the appropriate care / treatment according to patient needs, striving to improve standards of care and enhancing nursing services within the practice.

Depending on experience, Long Term Chronic Disease management will also form a large part of the role as well as the mentoring of our Health Care Assistants, Assistant Practitioners, Nurse Associate Students and RGN Student Nurses. Knowledge of the GMS contract e.g. The Quality and Outcomes Framework, will be valuable to the post.
