Job summary
We are seeking a Diverse and Dynamic Domestic Abuse practitioner who is motivated to help change the lives of some of the most vulnerable patients in north Derbyshire. The successful individual will be part of the integrated safeguarding and complex needs team working alongside the Named Nurse for Adult Safeguarding and the Safeguarding adults practitioner in a role where no two days are the same.
The role is being offered substantively however we are happy to offer secondment or fixed term contract.

The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of a high-quality Domestic abuse service providing professional advice, support and education to the multi-professional team, patient and carers with their specialist service by recognising, prioritising and responding appropriately to Domestic Abuse, with guidance and support of the head of safeguarding and the Named Nurse safeguarding adults.
The role will require engagement with patients empowering them to seek support and advising colleagues on supportive processes.
The role will deliver education and support to frontline staff ensuring the completion of high-quality DASH risk assessments and that the Trust is represented at MARAC.
You will form part of the integrated safeguarding team working closely with a range of practitioners who cover Adult safeguarding, Midwifery, Children and young people safeguarding, Domestic abuse, Learning disabilities and autism, dementia, managing complex behaviours and high impact users.
