An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and
enthusiastic Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist to join our specialist
Hand Therapy Team at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust. This is a permanent
post based within the outpatient therapy department, working closely with
Clinical Specialists and gaining valuable experience in the rehabilitation of
upper limb orthopaedic conditions.

Main duties of the job
Work as part of a specialist team of Occupational Therapists
and Physiotherapists delivering a dedicated hand therapy service.
Provide high-quality, specialist assessments and treatments,
including splinting.
Manage a caseload of Patients requiring assessment,
treatment, and rehabilitation for hand and wrist conditions.
Represent the therapy team at multidisciplinary team (MDT)
meetings with Trauma and Orthopaedic Hand Consultants.
Support the development of the wider therapy workforce,
including supervision of staff and education of students.
Contribute to service development and continuous improvement
initiatives.
We are looking for a therapist with:
A broad range of postgraduate experience in musculoskeletal
and orthopaedic specialities, with a strong focus on hand and wrist conditions
Evidence of personal professional development in this
specialist area
Strong clinical reasoning skills and the ability to deliver
effective, patient-centred interventions
A commitment to contributing to team development through
supervision, teaching, and peer support
