An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join our Orthopaedic Lower Limb Therapy team. The successful candidate will, on completion of the required competencies, be working in The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust based at The Park Rehabilitation Centre.
The team consists of Physiotherapists and Assistant Practitioners.
The Lower Limb Team offer extended working hours within the outpatient department, which includes weekday evenings.
We have a strong commitment to supervision, appraisal and staff training & development.
An understanding of the role of the Physiotherapist and the wider MDT and experience of working in a Therapy Outpatient/Rehabilitation setting would be required.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will:
- Support the team in delivering high quality, compassionate care for patients with musculoskeletal or orthopaedic conditions.
- Provide therapeutic activities tailored to the needs of the patient within the framework laid down by the Physiotherapist, modifying within the agreed parameters.
- Treatment will be delivered on a one to one basis, along with gymnasium and hydrotherapy pool sessions.
- Prioritise a caseload of patients and maintain the necessary associated records.
- Be responsible for undertaking administrative and housekeeping tasks within the department, for example hydrotherapy pool testing and being responsible for the working environment, managing stock and cleaning equipment.
- Actively engage in CPD and PDR processes
