Clinical Practice Educator- Operating Theatres

Full time - 37.5 hours per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Educator in our Operating Theatre Team. We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual who has a passion for teaching, training and development and supporting staff in the clinical area. You should be passionate about patient safety and maintaining high standards of care.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience as a Band 6 theatre practitioner, have a good application of knowledge of operating department practice, and are able to demonstrate active support of all levels of staff. You should be confident to share knowledge, undertake teaching sessions, make assessments of practice, and be able to action plan and set objectives to achieve competency.
Interviews will be Monday 16th February 2026
Main duties of the job
Your role will include the delivery of training programmes, preceptorship of newly registered staff (both NMC and HCPC), hand on support of staff in the clinical environment, audit and policy/guideline development. Team working with other educators across TRFT inside and outside theatres is expected and you will play a key role in the on-going development of the Theatre Transformation.
Evidence of a recognised teaching/ mentoring/ supervisory qualification, alongside excellent interpersonal skills are required. Candidates should possess the ability to monitor, maintain and improve service and education delivery
