Job summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Administrator to join our team. This role offers an excellent learning opportunity for someone looking to begin their career within the NHS, gaining valuable experience while completing a recognised Business Administration apprenticeship. As part of the team, you will work across multiple service areas across different sites, building a strong foundation in administrative processes, communication, and NHS systems. Main duties of the job
During your apprenticeship, you will learn and develop skills in:
- Navigating and updating Electronic Patient Records (EPR).
- Developing practical knowledge of key NHS IT systems.
- Managing document workflows, including scanning, uploading and accurate record maintenance.
- Processing referrals in line with service requirements.
- Managing and updating waiting lists, ensuring patients are scheduled appropriately.
- Supporting appointment booking and liaising with clinical teams.
- Monitoring and responding to telephone calls, emails and electronic tasks.
- Sharing information professionally and securely, following Information Governance and confidentiality rules.
- Assisting patients with queries and supporting colleagues across various teams.
- Building communication skills and developing strong working relationships with staff at all levels.
- Processing incoming and outgoing mail.
- Managing stock levels and maintaining supplies.
- Supporting routine office operations to ensure the smooth running of the service.
