Band 6 Paediatric SLT 2 days (we have another 2 day term time only post advertised as well)
1 year fixed term post to cover a maternity leave
15 Hours per week, term time only
Base: Kimberworth Place, Kimberworth Road, Rotherham S61 1HE (5 mins from Meadowhall shopping centre)
An opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Speech & Language Therapist in our friendly and innovative Speech and Language Therapy team. The post will be working across 2-3 teams. Rotherham SaLT service works in specialist team caseloads to ensure that all therapists working with similar client groups are part of a strong supporting team (e.g. Clinic, preschool, DLD, SEN)
The post holder would need experience working with children and young people with developmental speech and language delays and disorders, Autism and SEN and preferably have experience working in a school environment collaboratively working with educational professionals to help meet the individual childs holistic needs.
Main duties of the job
Duties will include:
Taking case histories, assessment and intervention, writing advice for EHCPs and programmes of intervention, providing training, working with a referring on to other practitioners in health and education.
Rotherham is a friendly and dynamic Speech and Language Therapy department.
The department offers a formal mentoring, peer support and a Personal Development Review system which ensures that training and learning needs can be identified and met appropriately.
