Were looking for an experienced, proactive Pharmacy Technician to help develop our Homecare Medicines Service. Youll be one of the Trusts day to day experts and points of contact for homecare medicinesworking closely with homecare companies, pharmacists, clinicians, procurement and finance to ensure safe, efficient supply and a consistently great patient experience.

Youll join a supportive Pharmacy Department committed to high professional standards, continuous improvement and patient centred careoffering NHS pension, Agenda for Change terms, CPD and development opportunities.

GPhC registered Pharmacy Technician with Accredited Checking Technician status (or commitment to achieve). Demonstrable experience in hospital pharmacy, medicines procurement or homecare services, with strong financial and data accuracy skills. Confident communicator and collaborator across multidisciplinary teams and external providers; able to prioritise complex workloads under pressure. Up to date knowledge of homecare medicines guidance and clinical governance.

Main duties of the job

Operate and improve the homecare service in line with national guidance and Trust policies, producing and updating SOPs and related documentation. Procure homecare medicines, reconcile invoices accurately, and resolve sourcing, contract and pricing issues with providers. Run day to day operations for homecare supply, including training, assessing and developing Pharmacy Technicians to maximise efficiency and accuracy. Monitor KPIs and contract performance, coordinate multidisciplinary service reviews, and produce quality and financial reports that drive improvement. Act as the professional secretary to homecare meetings and project groups; lead risk reduction initiatives and manage incident/complaint processes.
