Ward B5 is a 33-bed unit specializing in the healthcare of older people. We provide compassionate, patient-centered care for patients with complex physical, mental health, and social needs. Our multidisciplinary team works collaboratively to deliver high-quality care that promotes independence, dignity, and well-being.

We are seeking a motivated Band 6 Sister / Charge Nurse to lead our team. This is a senior clinical role with responsibility for overseeing patient care, managing the ward, and supporting staff development. The successful candidate will ensure our high standards of care are maintained, while fostering a positive and professional working environment.

Main duties of the job

Lead and manage ward nursing staff, including supervision, appraisal and mentorship.Ensure safe, effective, and person-centered care for all patients.Oversee daily ward operations, including staffing, patient flow, and clinical governance.Promote a culture of continuous professional development and learning.Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to implement care plans and discharge processes.Uphold and model the Trusts values and standards of professional practice.
