Main duties of the job

Provide expert clinical advice and leadership in the development and implementation of effective care pathways for pregnant women and birthing people.
Drive improvements in health outcomes by addressing inequalities in all aspects of care.
Lead the implementation of the midwifery strategy, ensuring high-quality, inclusive care for women and their families.
Collaborate with various departments and health professionals to deliver evidence-based practice and best possible care.
Oversee the Public Health Core20PLUS5 agenda and work alongside local services to ensure equitable and responsive care.

Qualifications and experience

Proven experience in a senior midwifery role with a strong focus on public health.
Demonstrated ability to lead and implement strategic initiatives in a healthcare setting.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
Commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to the highest standards of professional behaviour.
