Main duties of the job
Join our 0-19 Service and help shape healthier futures for children, young people, and families across the community. In this rewarding role, you'll deliver care that is consistent, accessible, and tailored to individual needs making a real difference where it matters most.
You'll assess the needs of local populations and work with schools, partner agencies, and voluntary organisations to improve public health. Strong communication is key you'll build trusted relationships with families and carers, ensuring voices are heard and care is client-centred.
Safeguarding is a vital responsibility, and you'll bring professionalism, awareness, and accountability when supporting vulnerable children, young people, and adults. Guided by national and local priorities, and delegated by the Specialist Public Health Practitioner, you'll deliver both universal and targeted interventions across 019 age range.
From promoting health and prevention to offering advice and education, you'll empower families to take charge of their wellbeing. Your work will span homes, schools, and community hubs, requiring independent travel across the borough and the flexibility to adapt to diverse settings.
