You will:
- Be comfortable working in clinical areas
- Manage your time well, prioritising when necessary
- Promote and deliver a professional replenishment service, focussed on ensuring product availability and value for money
- Be confident engaging with other members of the Trust at all levels
- Comply with standing financial instructions and schemes of delegation
You have:
- Excellent communication skills
- An understanding of how product usage can fluctuate depending on the current circumstances
- Confidence in dealing with and analysing data
- Knowledge of Supplychain systems
Main duties of the job
- Provide a professional, customer focused Logistics Management service in support of all user departments to provide direct patient care.
- To implement and maintain a Logistics Management service across wards and departments demonstrating thorough understanding of ordering processes, receipts processes, and Materials Management theories and purposes. Including, but not limited to, stock control knowledge, customer care skills acquired through NVQ 3 level, Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) or equivalent experience.
- The use of a suite of IT systems to download the order information using keyboard skills. High concentration levels required.
- Undertake the data capture of orders using a hand-held computer and transmission of these orders and other ad hoc requisitions to the supplier via the Electronic Demand Capture (EDC) interface link with NHS Supply Chain, helping implement Procurement strategy giving due consideration to the Trust Business Plan objectives.
- High level of concentration required when checking goods against delivery/ order documentation and when counting stock to determine requirements.
