Part time - 30 hours per week

As a Senior Business Analyst at Rotherham NHS Trust, you'll lead complex data analysis and dashboard development to uncover insights on service use, drive improvements, and support strategic decision making.

Working closely with clinical leaders, the business intelligence team and key community stakeholders. You'll turn fragmented datasets into compelling data stories, benchmark against national standards, and deliver actionable recommendations that will directly enhance patient care.

Your expertise in data quality, reporting and stakeholder engagement will be essential as you assist in translating findings into service redesign.

Main duties of the job

The Senior Business Analyst role is to support the Operational Lead and key stakeholders from across the Rotherham Place to deepen the The Rotherham Foundation Trusts understanding of the needs of its community services users through the creation of data products and insights which will support the future direction and development of Community Services.

The role will support and promote the use and availability of high-quality data and insight within the Trust, which will enable the teams within it, and its stakeholders to successfully deliver their work plans. The post holder will be responsible for providing technical expertise to the Community Services Review team in support of delivering on the programmes understanding of the needs of its service users, aligning with the Trust & The Rotherham Place Priorities.

  • Highly developed specialist knowledge in Information Management, including complex analysis and presentation of data from multiple sources, the creation of reports and analysis to support service improvements and awareness of performance levels.
  • Knowledge of Health and Social care roles, responsibilities, priorities and strategic direction.
  • Knowledge of how to work with data contained within databases, to compile charts and visuals which support customer insight
  • Knowledge of Community/ Acute Electronic Patient Records (EPRs) (e.g. Meditech, SystmOne).

Desirable

  • Demonstrable knowledge of statistical techniques and their application, Trend Analysis, SPC charts
  • Knowledge of the NHS Key Performance Metrics and associated national reporting/policy requirements.

  • Educated to Degree Standard in a relevant subject or equivalent experience of working at a similar level in a specialist information/ data analyst environment

  • Educated to Masters Degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience of working at a similar level in a specialist information/ data analyst environment.
  • Evidence of relevant continued professional development, eg Microsoft Products, Health and Social Care Policy.

  • Completed the NHS QSIR Programme or equivalent
