37.5 hour per week
As the Theatre Data Support Officer you will work as part of a small team, with in a large department liaising with all levels of clinical staff within a fast moving environment.
Building relationships with the IT Support team to identify data quality issues and to handle imperfect data effectively.
The role is essential in ensuring the information of every patients pathway is recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
You will also work alongside and support the Theatre Data Clerk ensuring the day to day workload is actioned and deadlines met. Ensuring the Theatre Department received the operating data and changes they require with speed and accuracy.
There are a variety of admin duties from telephone, emails, scanning, data input and running reports in Meditech, Power Bi and Excel. A job share will be considered but flexibility will be needed to cover the service.
Main duties of the job
- You will be responsible for checking gaps in the patients pathway, investigating reasons for these gaps by working the nursing staff for each theatre and identifying any trends and reporting to the Support Manager.
- You will run daily/weekly and month reports and eventually be the first point of contact for the Theatre Data Team.
- You will work with a few software programmes to record data, such as Meditech, Power BI and Excel.
- You will work closely with Theatre Reception and the Theatre Coordinator to ensure paper work is up to date.
- You will also build good working relationships with other surgical departments by both telephone and email, working together to ensure information and data is collected and circulated with a good high standard and accuracy.
