6 month fixed term, full time.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Specialist Community Public Health Nurse to join our 0-19 Integrated Public Health Nursing Service in Rotherham.
We would welcome applications from Specialist Community Public Health Nurses with excellent clinical, interpersonal and communication skills.
We are looking for practitioners who will complement the existing strong approach to teamwork whilst also demonstrating the ability to work on your own initiative. You will have a good understanding of children, young people and their families and the ability to deliver the healthy child programme to a diverse population across Rotherham.
Successful candidates will have experience of using motivational interviewing, solution focused therapies, and experience of leading on and completing Family Assessments of Need and working with Vulnerable families.

Main duties of the job
-To provide a consistent, effective, accessible and appropriate 0-19 Service for children, young people and their families
- To work in partnership with agencies and families
- To signpost to partner agencies where assessed as required
- To lead the delivery of public health, universal, targeted and specialist interventions across the 0-19 years age range for a defined population and will be delivered in line with the National and Local guidelines and public health priorities.
- The team will work proactively using a partnership approach to promote health and contribute to tackling health inequalities within the level of competencies required for the post.
- You will work with children, young people and families within the home environment, school or other identified community setting.
- The successful candidate will need to have a Specialist Community Public Health Nursing qualification as either a School Nurse or Health Visitor
