An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Cancer Services team as a Cancer MDT Administrator/Tracker to work 37.5 hours over 5 days (Monday Friday).
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual, to be responsible for updating patient's records on the cancer database, liaising with different clinical and non-clinical staff for the tracking and management of all patients who are on a suspected cancer pathway.
The post holder will need to support the trust in achieving performance against CWT guidance and ensure that all patient have clear next steps in place in line with CWT standards. Cancer Services are looking for an individual who can work collaboratively with other services with particular attention to detail.
The role is demanding so you must be confident, assertive and have the ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure. You will have good listening and communication skills and be able to deal with people both internally and externally in a sensitive and professional manner. The ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to Trust policies is essential.
You will have experience in administration systems. Excellent team working, organisational and communication skills are all essential for this post.
Main duties of the job
To track patients on a suspected/diagnosed Cancer Pathway from referral to treatment against National Targets as required within the specialty and escalate any issues to the Cancer Services Management team.
To provide timely and accurate information for patient tracking meetings (PTL) and to undertake collection of data in line with local and national requirements.
Work flexibly as part of a team to cover for annual leave and sickness.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Assist with the monitoring of the generic email inbox.
Ensure tracking is clear, concise and accurate and update any validations in relation to COSD and CWT.
